originally from pietermaritzburg, south africa, lu oversees day-to-day workflow, team development, client hospitality, and high-level strategy as head of operations. she is utilizing more than a decade of experience in operations – with a background in strategy and hospitality – to be a driving force in bringing vision to life for our clients and our team. lu spends her leisure eating great food (if it’s not spicy, don’t suggest it!), and spending as much time in new york city as possible.

shayla is Head of PR at west of fairfax, where she leads strategy and oversees all PR programs across the agency. she is passionate about authentic storytelling, team mentorship, and staying in tune with culture and media. with a decade of experience and a specialty in crisis communications, she’s known for turning complex ideas into compelling narratives and for the dedication she brings to the team. off the clock, she’s likely on a nature walk with her husband and son or watching a game with family.
